A warm & friendly welcome
Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Donaghmore, The Lower House is exactly want you want from a traditional rural pub. It has been at the centre of the local community since the 18th Century. The pub was purchased by The McCausland family in 1896 and six generations later it is still going strong!
Refurb & expansion
Recently refurbished and expanded it still maintains its traditional character, in fact your first steps onto the premises are onto tiles that were recovered during the refurb from an old floor that has been covered for over 150 years.
From the porch you enter a wonderful warm traditional bar, thatβs cosy and comfortable and perfect for a midweek drink and a catch-up. The front bar then opens up to a newly expanded rear space where you will hear the best local musicians play at the weekends with a heated outdoor area and bar to the side.
